EXISTING SITE OVERHAUL

PROJECT UX

Project UX was designed to overhaul an extremely outdated existing site, to give it a new look and feel without changing any of the inner workings or structure.

The main challenges here were:

• Current website was built by an old (scammy) SEO Agency who went bust several years ago.
• Theme was custom coded using Advanced Custom Fields Pro and advanced PHP.
• The whole site was littered with issues, with the ACF Blocks being broken or half completed.
• Absolutely zero budget other than my time, on top of my other SEO duties as an in-house specialist.

Using my existing knowledge of HTML, CSS & Javascript I got to work to overhaul this site – managed to fix many issues and learnt how to create and edit ACF Blocks, as well as edit the PHP in the server to create my desired output. With some additional support from a freelance webdev, we managed to pull together a website which was finally brand compliant and looked far better than the eye-sore it was before.

Whilst there’s some elements of the build I would of loved to change (the hero image still urks me to this day), I think I did a smashing job given the size of the site & available resources.
